U.S. Hemp Roundtable Celebrates 10th Annual Hemp History Week
Lexington, KY, May 30, 2019 --(PR.com)-- U.S. Hemp Roundtable, a coalition of U.S. hemp companies, today announced its official advocacy partnership with Hemp History Week. Throughout the week of June 3-9, 2019, hemp supporters, brands, farmers and organizations will be celebrating the 10th annual Hemp History Week with the theme “Return of the Plant!” through a series of nationwide educational and action-oriented events.

During this Hemp History Week, hemp supporters can support progress by reaching out to state legislators and encourage them to take local action by visiting the U.S. Hemp Roundtable State Action Center. This resource includes state-by-state information and updates on the status of local legislation, as well as representatives to contact to help improve the public’s understanding of hemp and its adoption, understanding and general progress. This action will not only help raise awareness of the plant, but help local farmers, local crop cycles and rural economies.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Hemp History Week, especially for this ten-year milestone, and encourage consumers to take local action,” said Jonathan Miller, general counsel for U.S. Hemp Roundtable. “After more than 80 years of prohibition, we’re excited to be a part of this pivotal moment and support a new history of hemp for future generations of farmers, consumers and manufacturers as the Roundtable continues to battle for better appreciation, education and use of the plant.”

The recent passage of the Farm Bill with the Hemp Farming Amendment has helped to legalize hemp farming in the U.S., and signifies a focus to rebuild our rural economies with lucrative hemp crops. With the revival of hemp manufacturing, the hope is to usher in a new market of sustainably produced, American-made consumer goods.

U.S. Hemp Roundtable announces this partnership with the help of Hemp History Week sponsors: Anavii Market, Barlean’s, Bish Enterprises, Bluebird Botanicals, CV Sciences / Plus +CBD Oil, Dr. Bronner’s, Hemp Road Trip, Manitoba Harvest, Ministry of Hemp, Nutiva, Prana Principle, and Tree Free Hemp.

About U.S. Hemp Roundtable
Launched in early 2017, the U.S Hemp Roundtable is a coalition of dozens of hemp companies, representing every link of the product chain, from seed to sale, including all of the industry’s major national grassroots organizations. After securing passage of bi-partisan legislation in the U.S. Congress federally establishing hemp as an agricultural commodity, and permanently removing it from regulation as a controlled substance, U.S. Hemp Roundtable’s focus includes lobbying campaigns that bring leading farmers and business executives to Washington.
