Corinne Marie Photography, $5 Bling Envy by Amanda & Skeleton Key Brewery Join “STOPPING TRAFFIC,” a Fashion-Forward Fundraising Event to Benefit Rahab's Daughters
Chicago, IL, June 03, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Deanna Marie (DM) Label is proud to announce more of the amazing people who have joined in the fight against human trafficking and will be participating in STOPPING TRAFFIC. Co-hosted by Stan Mansion, this fundraising event will benefit local non-profit Rahab’s Daughters in their fight to rescue, rehabilitate and reintegrate survivors of human trafficking, Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Stan Mansion, 2408 N. Kedzie Blvd. Chicago, IL 60647. All event proceeds will be donated to Rahab’s Daughters.
Joining the team to document the evening is Corinne Marie Photography. Owned and operated by Corinne Lydon, Corinne Marie Photography focuses primarily on women’s and children’s portraiture and day-to-day world photography. Lydon is also the owner of Your Inner Pinup, which is not a traditional pinup photography service, but a service focused on female empowerment through photography and personal training. As a survivor of both domestic and sexual abuse, Lydon’s passion lies in building people up and helping them to take back and improve their lives. She is thrilled to be donating her time to STOPPING TRAFFIC. “Rahab’s Daughters is the kind of organization that empowers women to take their life back. When you’re a survivor, you’re not focusing on being the victim,” said Lydon. “Because what happened is horrible, but you’re focused on being a survivor and taking yourself back and I think that’s important.”
Paparazzi Accessories consultant, Amanda Pleticha Mulay, has graciously donated 150 pieces of jewelry, for both men and women, for STOPPING TRAFFIC’S VIP goodie bags. Along with her daughter, Taylor, Pleticha Mulay runs $5 Bling Envy by Amanda selling one-of-a-kind, fashionable jewelry that makes a statement, at an affordable price. “This has honestly been one of the most rewarding experiences of my adult life. It has brought me even closer to my family, as we run this whole business together, and it has brought so many wonderful people into my life that I would have never met otherwise. If I can make you feel amazing, my goal has been accomplished,” said Pleticha Mulay. “I am honored to be donating 150 pieces from my current inventory to such an important and charitable cause. It is so important that the fight against human trafficking is given the attention that it needs and deserves.”
Local brewery and incubator, Skeleton Key Brewery, has recently joined the team as STOPPING TRAFFIC’S official beer sponsor and is kindly donating two of their signature brews to be served at the event. Husband/wife/brother team Paul and Emily Slayton and John Szopa opened Skeleton Key Brewery in 2016 with a total of 27 years of homebrewing experience between them. In addition to being a taproom, they also offer education opportunities through their incubator program and are heavily involved in charity work. They have previously worked with such organizations as the Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation (CAASE), Hope For The Day and the Northern Illinois Food Bank among others. “Human Trafficking is something that we feel particularly strong about and are thankful for the opportunity to be a part of such a great event for such a great cause,” said Paul. “Coming together with Rahab's Daughters and creating awareness for such a huge problem, as well as helping raise funds that are going to the right place is something we stand proudly behind. The public needs to know that this is a problem that is not isolated and that it affects people in every corner of the world.”
Tickets for STOPPING TRAFFIC are being sold through Eventbrite and include general admission and VIP seating. To be a sponsor or donate to the silent auction or VIP goodie bags, please contact Deanna Kuempel at deannamarie@deannamarielabel.com.
