Barbara Ann Reilly Recognized as a Woman of the Month for March 2019 by P.O.W.E.R. (Professional Organization of Women of Excellence Recognized)

(Professional Organization of Women of Excellence Recognized) for her outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of education. About Barbara Ann Reilly
Barbara Ann Reilly has 33 years of experience in the field of education. She currently teaches all 5th grade core curriculum. She is a credit to the Brick Board of Education of New Jersey.
Barbara has received many accolades during her career and has been involved in numerous charities in her community to include:
*Police Athletic League Teacher of the Year
*At a September Faculty meeting, former students came back to visit and wrote letters about what Barbara did to make them feel special
*Proclamation Council for “Putting Brick Township on the Map” by starting the Early Act Club in her school getting the children involved with many charities in the community
*Proclamation from the Mayor-Barbara Ann Reilly Day for P.A.L. Teacher of the Year
*Nominated and selected in Who’s Who for American Teachers 3 times
*Awarded the Challenge Coin from Police Chief Berquist for all her work within the community
*Mayor Acropolis gave Ms. Reilly a Key to the City
*Barbara started an Early Act Group that raked leaves in the front and back yards for Senior Citizens, had a 100+ Birthday Party and made visits to a nursing home
*Barbara and her students collected monies for the organizations listed below:
· United way
· Ocean Ride
· CareGiver Volunteers
· PTO recognized Barbara for having the children raise so much money for the District’s first Relay For Life in Brick
· Dottie’s House
· Bulletproof Vest fund
*Barbara won a Scholastic Book Essay Contest and received $500 to update her classroom library and Scholastic Book Club videotaped her class
*Ms. Reilly was taped for the Scholastic Book Reading Club Blog

Born January 8th, Barbara earned her B.A. in Education from Georgian Court University in 1984. In her spare time, Barbara enjoys golf and travel with her husband, Stan Schick.
