New Hanover County's First Distillery Opens in Wilmington

Wrightsville Beach, NC, June 25, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Blue Shark Vodka is officially taking North Carolina by storm as the first distillery located in Wrightsville Beach/Wilmington, NC, as well as New Hanover County, NC. The company has also received formal approval from North Carolina’s ABC Commission to commence sales and distribution of Blue Shark Vodka in New Hanover County, NC, and surrounding beach communities.

ABC Stores have already begun displaying the first limited offering of Blue Shark Vodka. And sales have been brisk.

“After many years of planning, partnering and production, we’re finally walking through the gate with a huge, new vodka offering,” said Chief Marketing Officer Mark Bloomquist. “The best news, perhaps, is that we get to share this introduction with our fellow community members in the Wrightsville Beach and Wilmington areas. Blue Shark Vodka also announces recipes for two signature drinks.

Earlier this year, the company received TTB approval for its federal permits and worked closely with county officials to build out its newest distillery. Even though original plans called for a Chactun Tequila storage area, Blue Shark Vodka’s founders quickly realized that once they received approval from the North Carolina ABC Commission, more area would be needed for vodka storage.

Blue Shark Vodka’s parent/holding company, Daytoon Distributors, plans several more unique alcohol offerings over the next several years.
