Indianapolis, IN, April 02, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Wolf Technical Services, Inc., has hired Amy L. Harris as a Manufacturing Engineer to work in its Research & Development Division. Harris will be responsible for cost reduction efforts, improving design manufacturability and coordinating the best methods for a manufacturing launch on new and revised Wolf products. Her expertise includes testing capacities of a design, adhering to military, UL and CE requirements and assessing quality and productivity issues.
Harris is the owner of SJ Products LLC., in McCordsville, Indiana. She has a B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering Technology from Ball State University.
Mike Pepe, Wolf’s president and CEO, said the addition of Harris to the Wolf team will enable the company to prepare for a number of crucial phases on several projects the company has been awarded.
“I am very pleased to welcome Amy Harris to the Wolf Research & Development team,” said Pepe. “Her important contributions will enable Wolf to take our current research and development projects from ‘proof of concept’ and ‘prototype’ phases to production. Amy has already demonstrated her expertise and delivered tremendous value in her early work with the Wolf team. All Wolf personnel join me in welcoming Amy to the Wolf family.”
A lifelong resident of the area, Harris has worked for several Indianapolis companies including Metro Products and Sagian, a Division of Beckman Instruments, before she started her own company in 2007. She said she is looking forward to the challenges Wolf has to offer.
“I’m very excited to be a part of this group,” Harris said. “It’s a very technical, knowledgeable and professional group that believes in teamwork. My job here will be to keep everyone in line for our long term goals. They are going to design the world and then I’m going to have to give them reality.”
Harris lives in McCordsville along with her husband, J.R. and children Sydney, 9, and Jake, 6. In her spare time, Harris said she enjoys spending time with her children and playing with her dogs – a Newfoundland and Saint Bernard.
