Toll Brothers Participates in Denver Bike to Work Day
Denver, CO, July 10, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Toll Brothers Colorado staff members enjoyed a greener two-wheeled commute as they joined an estimated 31,000 bicycle riders for the June 26 Denver Bike to Work Day.
The participating riders traveled 549,000 miles – or about 22 times around planet Earth – for the annual event.
“Some of our staff members are avid cyclists who ride their bikes to work on a regular basis,” says Mark Bailey, Toll Brothers Colorado Division President. “We had a great time participating in this special event and hope more Denver residents will use this form of transportation.”
The Annual Denver Bike to Work Day is sponsored by the Denver Regional Council of Governments to encourage healthier and greener modes of transportation. The organization estimated 237 tons of carbon dioxide emissions were avoided while 34.1 million calories were burned. The average one-way commute was 8.8 miles.
