Watkins Insurance Group Shareholder, Matt Womack, Named to IIAT Board

Austin, TX, July 11, 2019 --(PR.com)-- The Independent Insurance Agents of Texas (IIAT) announced the election of five new directors during its annual business meeting at Insurcon, June 21, 2019. During that meeting, Watkins Insurance Group shareholder and agent, Matt Womack, was elected to serve on the board of directors.

“It’s an honor to serve of the board of the nation’s largest state association,” Womack said. “As an agency, Watkins Insurance Group strongly believes in being involved in our communities and our industry both locally and statewide. It’s part of who we are. After serving as Young Agent Chair, budget/finance committee and Regional Vice President for a number of years for the IIAT PAC (Impact), I look forward to serving on the board. Matt Womack joined Watkins Insurance Group in 2003 and became a shareholder in 2008. Also in 2008, Matt was named the “Young Agent of the Year” by IIAT.
