High School Students Volunteer with Keep Irving Beautiful Youth Craft No Sew Blankets
Irving, TX, July 18, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Three local high school students recently took a day from their summer break to volunteer with Keep Irving Beautiful (KIB). The students live in Irving and attend Coppell High School and Jack E. Singley Academy and gave a total of nine hours of service, making three no sew blankets, which will be donated to a local nonprofit organization. The students were seeking volunteer opportunities to serve in the community and earn hours toward their graduation requirements. On July 10, the student volunteers met at the KIB office and worked together to complete the three blankets.
“KIB began the blanket project three years ago and has really grown in popularity,” said KIB board member Scott Wilson. “The project been an excellent activity for youth groups. Because of the youth volunteers’ efforts, KIB has been able to donate blankets to a number of deserving groups and organizations.”
