Tampa, FL, July 19, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Dress for Success Tampa Bay invites you to “An Evening of Women's Empowerment” featuring Tampa Mayor Jane Castor on Monday, July 22, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hampton + Home2 Suites by Hilton, 1155 E. Kennedy Boulevard in Tampa. The event is a celebration of local women, networking, and speakers to benefit Dress for Success Tampa Bay.
“Women have turned valleys into mountaintops and obstacles into opportunities! This event will be a night of networking and celebrating. Dress for Success Tampa Bay is bringing the community together to support their mission, celebrate women's achievements, and hear Mayor Jane Castor,” said Judy Bensinger, board member of Dress for Success Tampa Bay.
Mayor Castor is recognized locally and nationally for her leadership in both law enforcement and community involvement. A Tampa native, she is the city’s 59th Mayor and is a 31-year veteran of the Tampa Police Department. She also was the first woman to be named Police Chief in the city of Tampa.
Tickets are $50 for individuals or $90 for two. Benefit proceeds will go directly to the nonprofit to help empower more Tampa Bay women. With only three employees and many volunteers, Dress for Success Tampa Bay relies on grants, donations, and fundraising events to continue offering services locally. The nonprofit assisted more than 2,000 women during 2018.
Dress for Success Tampa Bay helps women return to the workplace and become economically independent.
