Adoptions From The Heart Hosts Third Annual Zumba®-Thon Event
York, PA, July 24, 2019 --(PR.com)-- For three years now, Adoptions From The Heart (AFTH) has hosted an annual Zumba®-thon event, which raises money for AFTH’s Expecting and Birth Parent Support Fund. This year, Zumba®-thon takes place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, August 4, 2019, at the Greater York Center for Dance Education. Miss Pennsylvania 2019, Tiffany Seitz, will be attending the event. An adoptee herself, Seitz proudly advocates for adoption through her platform Adoption Advocacy – Restoring Hope, Transforming Lives.
AFTH’s Expecting and Birth Parent Support Fund provides assistance to current and former clients facing financial hardships. Supported solely by donations, the proceeds will go towards food, housing, clothing and other costs. Within the last two years, the Expecting and Birth Parents Support Fund has provided financial support to over 85 birth parents.
Birth parents are often silent about their financial difficulties during the adoption process, AFTH’s Expecting and Birth Parent Support Fund serves as a reminder that they have help. “Your donations have such a great and meaningful impact,” said Mary, a recipient of the Expecting and Birth Parent Support Fund. “I personally have been blessed by this fund and I am so grateful.”
AFTH’s Zumba®-thon is a family-friendly event sponsored by In White and Kling & Deibler, LLP. Six certified Zumba® instructors will lead the two-hour event, guiding participants through a full body workout using various low and high-intensity Latin dance moves. Amanda Klotz, former office manager of AFTH’s Central PA location will serve as an instructor.
For those interested in attending the event, tickets can be purchased on our Third Annual Zumba®-thon event page at $25 per family, $15 per individual and $5 for all children ages 14 and under. After our special registration discount period ends, interested participants can still purchase their tickets the day of the event at an increased rate.
A “No-Sweat” donation can be made online for individuals interested in supporting the event but unable to attend. “No-Sweat” donations can range from $5 to $500, every contribution counts and is greatly appreciated.
