Robert Miller Encourages Future Electronics Staff to Lower CO2 Emissions by Biking to Work in 2019
Future Electronics President Robert Miller is encouraging employees to participate in the "Going Green" Bike to Work initiative in 2019.
Pointe Claire, Canada, July 25, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components, has brought back the "Going Green" Bike to Work initiative for 2019.
President Robert Miller thanked Future's Clean and Green team for organizing the initiative, and hopes that many employees will participate in this year's Bike to Work program.
On "Casual Fridays" during the months of July, August, September and October, every Future employee who rides their bike or rollerblades to work at the corporate headquarters in Montreal will receive a free breakfast in the cafeteria.
Miller has always placed a high priority on environmental stewardship, and has spearheaded the development of several green programs at Future Electronics in recent years.
If 40 employees ride their bikes to work once a week for 4 months, and travel a distance of 7.5 Km, they would reduce CO2 emissions by approximately one ton. And during the summer construction season, biking to work is often faster than driving through detours or sitting in traffic.
Future Electronics was founded by Robert Miller in 1968, and the company encourages all their employees to make environmentally cleaner and more sustainable transportation choices.
