TACG Team Member Selected as President of International Logistics Officer Association
TACG Client Relations Manager Scott Fike (USAF, Colonel retired) named as the leader of International Organization, Logistics Officer Association (LOA).
Dayton, OH, July 28, 2019 --(PR.com)-- TACG Client Relations Manager Scott Fike has been elected President of the National Logistics Officer Association (LOA). LOA is a professional development association providing relevant and solution-oriented learning and collaboration opportunities to logistics and acquisition professionals across the Department of Defense, Industry, and Academia with members and chapters at over 80 locations around the globe.
“The National Logistics Officer Association (LOA) played a key role in my personal Air Force professional development as a career aircraft maintainer and logistician. From my inaugural LOA journey in 1989 to the present day, the friends, relationships, mentoring, and professional development opportunities have served me well,” says Mr. Fike. “I am honored, humbled, and excited to give back and be part of a national leadership team, helping to foster and grow the next generation of aircraft maintenance, munitions, logistics readiness, and acquisition officer professionals.”
Mr. Fike was a career aircraft maintenance officer, serving in multiple wing and major command leadership positions. His operational assignments included tours as a 3-time Squadron Commander and Group Commander. Mr. Fike’s extensive experience in the aircraft maintenance and logistics field also included assignments as the Air Force Personnel Center Force Development Branch Chief, Deputy Group Commander (Middle East location), Base-level Supply Officer, and a Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex logistics career-broadening officer.
“Mr. Fike is a key leader on the TACG team,” says TACG President Brian Chaney. “His election comes as no surprise to us. Congratulations Scott. We look forward to seeing your leadership in action and thank you for giving back to our industry.”
Scott joined the TACG Team in September 2017 as the Site Lead for the Air Force Sustainment Center’s Functional Management Office for the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul initiative (MROi), one of numerous Logistics IT Capability Initiative transformation efforts underway to streamline and enhance operations within the Air Force depot and field-level arenas. In April 2019, he was promoted to his current position as Client Relations Manager. In addition to his LOA service, Mr. Fike is an active, supportive member of the Dayton-Wright Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Agency and the Greater Ohio Valley Chapter of Women in Defense.
