Family Lawyers Sarinia M. Feinman and Lindsay H. Childs Attended PBA Family Law Section Summer Meeting
King of Prussia, PA, July 31, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Two Vetrano family lawyers recently attended the 2019 Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section Summer Meeting in Orlando, Florida. Sarinia M. Feinman produced a program for the meeting and Lindsay H. Childs attended, participating as a Council Member at the meeting.
Ms. Feinman’s program was called Custody Fatigue Syndrome and Generation Z. The workshop focused on legal and therapeutic approaches to enforcing custody orders with teenagers who no longer wanted to follow them, how to protect clients in court, and the judicial response to the parents who argue that their kids want to decide for themselves and they as parents have no control. Panelists included: Hon. Daniel J. Clifford, Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas; Hon. Kim D. Eaton, Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas; J. Paul Helvy, Esq.; Mark A. Momjian, Esq.; and Arnold Shienvold, PH.D. The program was interactive, thought provoking, and well-attended.
Ms. Childs is serving in her first year of a three-year term as Council Member of the PBA FLS. This Council serves as the Board of the Family Law Section. The Council meets periodically throughout the year, including at the annual Summer and Winter Meetings, to discuss legislative changes and proposals relating to Family Law, and to provide oversight and management for the Family Law Section.
The 2019 Summer Meeting was held July 11-14 at the Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando. Some highlights of the meeting included a visit from Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice David N. Wecht, who spoke on a Plenary Session panel called Family Law and the PA Supreme Court: Past, Present and Future. In addition, participants were able to earn CLE credits for a variety of breakout sessions.
