Naples, FL, April 04, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The Naples Winter Wine Festival, the most successful charity wine auction and festival in the world, announced that the 2009 fundraiser will take place Feb. 6-8 in Naples, Fla.
The festival, which raised $14 million in four hours during the 2008 auction gala on Jan. 26, is renowned for the participation of top U.S. chefs and vintners from around the world as well as one-of-a-kind wine and other luxury auction lots that have commanded bids of up to $2 million for a single lot.
The three days of festivities include a meet-the-kids-day tour of charities that benefit from festival proceeds, a luncheon wine tasting, intimate vintner dinners at 17 elegant private homes, a world-class wine auction and lunch extravaganza at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, a wine-down party and celebration brunch.
Attendance at the festival is limited to approximately 600 individuals. Ticket packages are $10,000 per couple; $25,000 for reserved seating at the same vintner dinner for two couples. The gala theme for 2009 is Dreams Do Come True. The chairpersons are Connie Galloway, who has served as a board member for several nonprofit organizations and arts associations, and her husband Tom, who is a broadcast executive. Both are founding members of the festival.
The Naples Winter Wine Festival is hosted by trustees of the Naples Children & Education Foundation, whose vision is based on creating an exquisite event, with proceeds benefiting local charities that assist underprivileged and at-risk children.
