EU Regulatory Expert to Keynote AIM Summit 2019

Pittsburgh, PA, August 17, 2019 --(PR.com)-- AIM, the trusted worldwide industry association for the automatic identification industry, providing unbiased information, educational resources and standards for nearly half a century, has announced EU regulatory expert Jan Hoffmann, LL.M. as the first keynote speaker for AIM Summit 2019, being held October 28 in Darmstadt, Germany.

Mr. Hoffmann works at the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety of the European Commission. He is an expert on regulatory issues related to fast moving consumer goods and supply chain security, specializing in the interplay between law and technology. In his current role, Mr. Hoffmann coordinates EU policies on the fight against illicit trade in tobacco products. He is responsible for the development and implementation of the recent regulatory framework that established a traceability system for tobacco products, providing 360 degrees visibility of the supply chain across the EU.

In addition to Mr. Hoffmann, AIM will also welcome Anja Van Bocxlaer, Chief Editor and Publishing Director at Verlag & Freie Medien as a featured speaker. A renowned journalist with an expertise in technology, Ms. Van Bocxlaer is the lead organizer for the annual RFID & Wireless IoT tomorrow, an international conference and exhibition that is Europe's leading wireless IoT event.
