Western Maryland Regional Medical Center Expands Digisonics Solution for Radiology Reporting
Western Maryland Regional Medical Center standardizes reporting across all ultrasound reporting with implementation of Digisonics Radiology Reporting Suite for improved turnaround times, workflow automation and measurable improvement to the quality of patient care.
Houston, TX, August 21, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Digisonics continues its expansion into Radiology reporting with its Radiology Reporting Suite and integration with Powerscribe360 to automate the reporting workflow by partnering with Western Maryland Regional Medical Center in Cumberland, MD.
The Digisonics system provides improved consistency for OB/GYN, Vascular and General ultrasound reports and interfaces seamlessly with incumbent imaging modalities, PACS and EMR. The facility will capitalize on improved turnaround times by eliminating redundant data entry workflows (re-dictating measurements and sonographer’s findings) improve quality and reduction of quality control steps.
Integration with Powerscribe360 will auto-import dictated impressions directly into the Digisonics multi-media report, streamlining the reporting process with minimal impact to radiologists’ current workflow and increased vendor interoperability. Upon signoff in Digisonics, the final result is transferred to the facility’s EMR and sent to referring physicians with structured reporting features that allow diagnosis to be easily found.
Bi-directional integration with PACS will launch the Digisonics reporting software to the patient record directly from the PACS workstation and send the finalized report as DICOM for store in the PACS with study images.
This advanced integration will positively impact sonographer and radiologists’ workflow resulting in fewer reporting errors and increased referring physician satisfaction with a measurable, positive impact on patient care.
