New LOCTITE Extreme Temperature Sealants Prevent Leaks in Harshest Conditions
Pune, India, August 23, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Henkel has introduced LOCTITE NS 5540 and NS 5550, thermally activated sealing compounds that are specifically designed for use in high temperature and high-pressure environments. LOCTITE NS 5540 brushable liquid can seal flanges carrying up to 2900 psi (200 bar) steam at temperatures up to 1300°F/700°C. LOCTITE NS 5550 is a fibrous paste sealant designed for high temperature (up to 1500°F/815°C) and high-pressure applications (up to 5000 psi/340 bar). These products cure in the presence of heat to form a mechanical seal on metal-to-metal flanges and fittings and are designed to allow for disassembly for future maintenance and repairs.
LOCTITE NS 5540 and NS 5550 sealants are suitable for sealing steam pipelines, hydrocarbons, gases coal lines and other process fluids in high pressure, high temperature environments such as those found in power generation facilities, pulp and paper mills, mines, oil and gas refineries, etc.
Both products are tested reliably, are designed for ease of use in service and disassembly is easy for future repairs.
