NPSA Launches Portable Storage Industry Survey
Industry-wide survey seeks to determine size and strength of portable storage industry.
Kansas City, MO, April 05, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The National Portable Storage Association has launched an industry-wide survey to identify the size and strength of the portable storage industry.
The survey will determine the number and types of vendors, equipment and jobs in the portable storage industry, as well as estimate the total revenue generated by portable storage and ancillary product and service companies.
"The portable storage industry has grown by leaps and bounds since we conducted our first survey four years ago," said John Finnessy, CMP, Executive Director of the NPSA, a nonprofit membership association dedicated to the advancement of the portable storage industry. "Beyond portable storage container vendors, many other types of products and services have emerged to service the industry, from marketing firms to financial consulting to transportation companies."
This is the third time the NPSA has sought to assess and measure the industry. The NPSA conducted surveys in 2006 and in 2004. However, the 2008 survey marks the largest scale appraisal in the industry's history. The survey's aim is to begin gathering data that will allow the NPSA to identify industry trends. The NPSA can use this data as a benchmark to measure the growth of the industry since the last surveys, as well as project future growth.
"The NPSA is committed to bringing value to its members and the overall industry," said NPSA Operations Manager Joel Rathbone. "This industry-wide survey is one way to help our members determine growth plans and make sound business decisions. We encourage all industry parties to participate in this study so we can gain the most benefit as an industry."
