Doing Good Works, a Promotional Merchandising Company with the Mission to Change Outcomes for Foster Youth, Makes the INC. 5000 List
Santa Ana, CA, August 22, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Inc. Magazine has ranked Doing Good Works as one of the country's top 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies of 2019. The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the US economy's most dynamic segment -independent businesses. Companies such as Dell, Pandora, GoPro, Facebook, LinkedIn, Yelp, Zillow, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as top 500 exclusive honorees on the Inc. 5000.

A Public Benefit Corporation Launched in 2015, Doing Good Works was founded in response to the harsh realities surrounding the 400,000+ youth in foster care in the United States. The company re-purposes 10% of their profits to fund programs for foster youth and ensures that 30% of their hires come from the foster community. The only social enterprise to be included on the INC. 5000 list, they have impacted the lives of over 1500 young adults to date.

“We are honored to be included in the INC. 5000 and see this recognition as an opportunity to expand the number of lives we touch,” said founders Scott Henderson and Jordan Bartlett, who see their mission as the key to their success.

“People love knowing that their purchase will make a direct impact on young people’s lives. We source the highest quality promotional products and pride ourselves on excellent customer service, but we always lead with purpose. We like to say, ‘it’s not about the pen,’” they added.

The recognition was one of several key milestones during 2019, including being ranked #2 on Advertising Specialty Institute’s Fastest Growing Promo Distributors of 2019.

Looking to 2020, Doing Good Works plans to expand into full-service printing and grow their Mission Ambassador Program. An employment initiative for emancipated foster youth on college campuses, ambassadors create new opportunities with college departments that purchase promotional products. 10% of profits go back to the Guardian Scholars program, which provides support services to undergraduate students who are former foster youth. Sales from the Mission program totaled just under a million in less than a year.

"It's been a huge success in terms of profit and community impact and a model we are excited to grow," said Henderson. "The mutual investment in youth is a win-win for everyone."
