Cindy’s Legacy Celebrates Selection as a Giant Food Community Bag Program Beneficiary

Reston, VA, September 10, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Cindy’s Legacy has been selected as a beneficiary of the Giant Food Community Bag Program for the month of October at the North Point Village Center Reston, Virginia location. The Giant Food Community Bag Program, which launched in July 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.

Cindy’s Legacy was selected as the October 2019 beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Giant Food located in Reston, Virginia. Cindy’s Legacy will receive a $1 donation every time the $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at this location during October, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag.

Founded in 2011, Cindy’s Legacy is a 501c3 non-profit based in Reston, Virginia. It honors the legacy of Cindy Delisi Martin, a Reston, Virginia-area native who passed away from brain cancer in that same year. The mission is to provide financial aid and resources/referrals to cancer patients in financial distress.
