Mirus Promotions 10-Year Anniversary Party Raises Funds for UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center
San Diego, CA, August 30, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Local field marketing agency Mirus Promotions hosted its 10-year anniversary party last Thursday at Kairoa Brewing Co. with a charity raffle to raise funds for UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center.
Nearly 100 total people were in attendance, including the agency’s local clients, team members, vendor partners, friends and family. Guests enjoyed a lively evening of socializing at the University Heights restaurant and brewery with hosted appetizers and drinks, a photobooth station and the charity raffle.
“It was such an honor to celebrate our tenth year in business with some of the people who have helped contribute to our success and have been a part of getting the company to where it is today,” said Julie Seal-Gaustad, founder and chief energy officer. “We are so happy to be celebrating ten full years of building brands, fostering a culture, and pursuing a dream.”
Mirus Promotions chose “A Dazzling Decade” as its party theme to inspire the invitations and party decor, aligned with the ten-year anniversary symbol of a diamond.
The event featured a charity raffle with various prizes accumulated from local donors and some of the agency’s clients. Prizes included a one-night stay and 50-minute spa treatment from Omni La Costa Resort and Spa, a White Claw-branded bicycle, Enovation Wines and Saint Archer Brewery gift baskets, Mike Hess brewery tours and tastings for two, and more.
All proceeds raised through the raffle were donated to UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center.
Before the winners were announced, guest speaker and breast cancer survivor, Mindy Doner, shared her personal story of her cancer battle over five years ago. She detailed her positive and uplifting experience with Moores Cancer Center nurses and staff throughout her battle, expressing her gratitude for the organization and the fundraiser to support it.
“Using this opportunity as a platform to raise funds and awareness for such a good cause that is so near and dear to our hearts was my vision for the event,” Seal-Gaustad said. “I’m delighted we were able to successfully raise funds for cancer research, treatment, and support to make a positive impact in people’s lives.”
