Axiomtek Introduces Its High Performance, Scalable Pico-ITX Motherboard for Industrial IoT Applications – The PICO51R

An onboard CPU is attached on the rear side of the board, which can aid with heat dissipation and allows for design flexibility. The rugged PICO51R is a highly expandable, feature-rich and versatile embedded motherboard ideal for industrial automation applications requiring a small form factor for space constraint environments.

The flexible PICO51R offers multiple expansion interfaces with one M.2 Key E slot for wireless modules and one M.2 key B slot for storage cards. Its rich I/O options include two Gigabit Ethernet ports with Intel® Ethernet Connection I219-LM and Intel® Ethernet Controller I211-AT, two RS-232/422/485 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, one I2C port and 4-bit DIO port. The PICO51R utilizes Intel® HD graphics engine to bring a true high definition visual experience through dual displays via DisplayPort and 18/24-bit single/dual channel LVDS. The compact board also has one 260-pin DDR4-2133 SO-DIMM for up to 16GB of system memory.

The PICO51R was designed for use in harsh environments and can withstand a wide operating temperature range from -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to 140°F). It also has a +12V DC power supply input. For reliable operation, the PICO51R has a watchdog timer to detect and recover from computer malfunctions and supports hardware monitoring features to monitor temperature, voltage, fan speed and more. It also supports Intel® Active Management Technology 11 (Intel® AMT 11) for remote management.
