Junior Achievement of North Florida is in the Running for a Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Award
Nonprofit is asking for the community to vote on the company’s mobile app.
Jacksonville, FL, September 11, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Junior Achievement of North Florida is asking for the community to help them win a $75,000 grant from the Chick-fil-A Foundation. JA of North Florida was chosen as a regional finalist for the 2020 True Inspiration Awards and now they need the community to log on to the Chick-fil-A mobile app and vote. Voting for the True Inspiration Awards begins today and runs through the end of the month.
To vote for JA of North Florida, open the Chick-fil-A app and click on “Rewards” at the bottom of the screen. Then look at the top of the next screen and click on “News” then “Vote Now.” Select the Southeast region and vote for JA of North Florida. The app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
“This is such a great opportunity for us and we are honored to be chosen as a finalist,” said Steve St. Amand, president of JA of North Florida. “We are asking for the community to help us by voting on their app. This grant will go a long way in helping us continue our mission of preparing our children for the future.”
Voting will be open from Sept. 9 to Sept. 30 and each person can only vote once. The winners will be announced in November or December. The winning organization from each region will receive $75,000 and the runner-up will receive $15,000.
The True Inspiration Awards were established to help nonprofit organizations that serve children and youth in the fields of education, youth homelessness and poverty, or economic empowerment. It was established to honor Chick-fil-A Founder S. Truett Cathy who was dedicated to inspiring the unlimited potential in children. Each year, the Chick-fil-A Foundation chooses 22 community organizations to honor and celebrate with the True Inspiration Awards.
