Safe Boating Course to be Held at Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield
The Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield will hold a Safe Boating Course on April 12th and 13th for children age 12 and older. The course will be held at the club, which is located at 1837 Ocean Street, Library Plaza.
Marshfield, MA, April 05, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The course will be held on Saturday, April 12th from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Sunday, April 13th from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. There is no charge for the course.
Mike Devine of the Boys and Girls Club Development board, who is a licensed captain, will lead the course.
The Safe Boating course conforms to the Massachusetts Environmental Police Regulations for the safe operation of boats, personal water craft and sailboats.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a “Boating Safety Certificate” which allows those who are 12-15 years old to operate motorized vessels without an adult on board and those who are 16-17 to operate a personal water craft (PWC).
This certificate is recognized in the State of NH and other states (www.nasbla.org).
