Eisai and Dream Foundation Come Together to Help Support More Veterans
Research-based human health care company to support national dream-granting organization to help more end-of-life Dreams for veterans come true across the nation.
Santa Barbara, CA, September 20, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Dream Foundation, the only national dream-granting organization for terminally-ill adults, is today announcing Eisai’s expanded efforts to support Dream Foundation in making more final Dreams of terminally-ill veterans come true through its Dreams for Veterans program.
Over the last twenty-five years, Dream Foundation has served over 30,000 Dreams and counting, reuniting families, providing the terminally-ill with trips that provide a much needed respite from treatment or providing something as simple as an iPad so that Dream recipients can stay connected with family and friends.
Officially launched in 2015, Dream Foundation’s Dreams for Veterans program honors our veterans’ service by fulfilling their final Dreams, often reconnecting them with aspects of their military service with visits to special monuments and pinning ceremonies, bringing them, their families and their caregivers inspiration, comfort and closure at the end of life. Since the program’s inception, 792 Veteran Dreams have been served.
As part of Eisai’s human health care (hhc) mission, Eisai U.S. employees will be directly involved with helping deliver Dreams to recipients nationwide. This new and expanded support extends Eisai’s work with Dream Foundation over the past year with increased funding and opportunities.
“At Eisai, our human health care mission drives us to put patients first in our thoughts and actions, which means supporting patients at every stage of their journey and learning from them so that we may continue to serve them better,” said Teresa Cronin, Director of Corporate Advocacy at Eisai Inc. “Our veterans have given so much to our country, and we are honored to help Dream Foundation in making their Dreams come true.”
“Eisai’s continued commitment allows us to fulfill considerably more Veteran Dreams,” says Dream Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer, Kisa Heyer. “We are thankful to the company and its employees who will be an integral part in bringing these final Dreams to life.”
Dreams for Veterans Recipients must be a U.S. military veteran, at least 18 years old, have a life expectancy of nine months or less, and lack the resources to achieve their Dreams on their own, To apply for a Dream, please visit http://www.dreamfoundation.org/dreams-for-veterans-application/.
