Afro House Collective Tambor Party Celebrates 10 Years in Atlanta
Stan Zeff, DJ Kemit, and Da Capo among roster of DJs scheduled to participate in Tambor Party’s 10th anniversary event.
Atlanta, GA, October 07, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Tambor Party will host its 10th anniversary event to celebrate the DJ collective and Afro House dance movement’s contribution to Atlanta’s House music scene.
Afro House is a subgenre of House music, and touts its origins in the African diaspora. The style fuses what are known as Tribal, Kwaito, Soulful, and Deep House music, with sounds that incorporate African elements, most notably the drum.
The event will feature a curated assortment of DJs that stay true to the Afro House tradition. The celebration’s lineup includes Tambor Party founder and resident DJ Stan Zeff, DJ Kemit, Kevin Lathan, DJ Be and special guest Da Capo from South Africa, who recently won an award in the Afro House category at the Electronic Music Awards in Ibiza, Spain.
“We’re excited to have a mix of local and global Afro House DJs for this celebration,” Stan Zeff stated. “Tambor Party is different from other House music events in that Tambor Party emphasizes a conscious lifestyle, unity, and cultural pride. It's amazing to see how far it has come, and there isn’t a better way to celebrate this milestone than with a grand dance party where it all started - Atlanta.”
The event will be held at Crazy ATLanta on October 19, 2019. Passes are currently on sale, and can be purchased online at: https://www.residentadvisor.net/events/1322479. Pre-sale passes are $15, and $5 for students and Tambor members.
