Can You Hear It? Kathy Foster Publishes Her Debut Children’s Picture Book, "I Have a Song"

"I Have A Song" is a high energy, day-long, joy-filled journey, that repeatedly asks the reader if they can hear the quirky phrases that accompany the goofy actions, that spread throughout Pip’s body and always seem to get her into a tad of (harmless) trouble. Author Kathy Foster grew up in Lisbon, NY, a small hamlet outside the city of Ogdensburg. A Speech-Language Pathologist by trade for nearly two decades and an exercise enthusiast, she found the need to take her creative spirit a step beyond the classroom and gym. Influenced not only by her students, but also by her youngest daughter, Francesca, Pip was created. Like Pip’s, Francesca’s spunky spirit, at times, seems to shine a bit too brightly, for some. (Is that possible?) To Kathy, this spirit represents and celebrates the joy all children bring to the world, despite their differences and “quirks.”

Illustrator Christopher Gray, a full-time painter, muralist, and graphic designer is from Penfield, NY. He says his ability to spend every day bringing ideas to life, like Pip in I Have A Song, is a passion and a blessing.

Kathy and Christopher are thrilled to introduce their first children’s picture book collaboration, "I Have A Song," which brings Pip to life and encourages readers to embrace the songs she sings loudly to the world.
