Formosa Group Adds New Music Editor to Thriving Music Division

Santa Monica, CA, October 17, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Formosa Group, an industry leader and top creative innovator in post-production sound, revealed today that esteemed music editor Curt Sobel has joined Formosa Group’s flourishing Music department, working with many of the industry’s leading authorities in music editing.

During his successful career as a music editor, working on over 130 films, his resume includes box office hits such as “Ray,” starring Jamie Foxx, “The Revenant,” starring Leonardo DiCaprio, “Nine,” starring Daniel Day-Lewis, Marion Cotillard and Penélope Cruz, “The Insider,” starring Russell Crowe and Al Pacino, and many more.

Before becoming one of Hollywood’s most in-demand music editors, Sobel wrote original songs. In the late ‘70s/early ‘80s, during and after his years at the University of Michigan and studying conducting, arranging and composition at Berklee College of Music, Curt wrote and recorded his own songs, which were finally released in November 2017 as a compilation titled, STAGES. His background in writing helped develop his unmatched ear for music that he later became known for during his career in music editing.
