Carolina Village Receives Deficiency-Free State Survey
Carolina Village, a Type-A LifeCare Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Western North Carolina, obtained a Deficiency-Free Annual Survey from the North Carolina Department of Health (NCDOH) last week.
Hendersonville, NC, October 24, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Carolina Village, Hendersonville’s only Type-A LifeCare Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) with 45 years of senior care experience, obtained a Deficiency-Free Annual Survey from the North Carolina Department of Health (NCDOH) last week.
Since opening in 1974, Carolina Village has offered the full continuum of care for seniors, from independent living to assisted living and skilled nursing, on a beautiful, energetic 96-acre campus. A 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Carolina Village’s mission is to provide housing, continuing life care, up-to-date service, and a pleasant, congenial social environment to encourage personal growth and community participation without regard to race or religious persuasion. Carolina Village and its volunteer Board of Directors seeks to serve the senior population, to provide peace of mind for their long-term care and to nurture a sense of true community.
"Our team works tirelessly day-in and day-out to provide the best possible care for residents,” said Alex Tucker, Healthcare Administrator at Carolina Village. “A deficiency-free survey acknowledges the collective effort and success. We’re very proud of our team.”
NCDOH surveys, or annual inspections, ensure that skilled nursing facilities comply with state regulations. Surveys are conducted on a no-notice basis and consist of an examining of these areas: resident care, policies and procedures, medication administration, medical records, kitchen sanitation, staff competencies, dietary needs, safety and equipment, fitness, and adequacy of the community. The survey’s ultimate purpose is to ensure that residents are receiving the highest levels of care and quality of life.
Results of state surveys are available at all skilled nursing facilities and are beneficial in comparing communities. For more information about Carolina Village, visit carolinavillage.com or contact Cheryl Justus, Marketing Director, at 828-233-0602.
