Patrick Henry College Receives Prestigious Recognition from International Association for Intelligence Educators
Patrick Henry College's Strategic Intelligence in National Security program is only the second undergraduate program to obtain certification from the prestigious International Association for Intelligence Education.
Purcellville, VA, October 24, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Patrick Henry College's Strategic Intelligence in National Security program has been awarded the International Association for Intelligence Education (IAFIE) certification this week.
IAFIE is the only professional association for intelligence education in the U.S., and the Patrick Henry College Strategic Intelligence Major meets the requirements of the International Association for Intelligence Education. Additionally, Patrick Henry College is only the second undergraduate program to obtain this certification. The other is a substantially larger university with two campuses and approximately 6,000 undergraduate students.
Director of the Strategic Intelligence Program Dr. Gordon Middleton noted, "We are the only Christian college or university with IAFIE certification. This has been in our program’s strategic plan for some time and I am very glad this rigorous process has come to a successful conclusion. I owe a big 'thanks' to Professor Jock Binnie for his able assistance in putting the extensive package together that finally achieved this milestone for our program."
IAFIE’s goal is, “to advance research, knowledge and professional development in intelligence education.” IAFIE standards for Intelligence Education are recommended for undergraduate and graduate academic programs having "intelligence” in their program titles and support competitive (business), law enforcement, homeland security and national security intelligence activities.
Patrick Henry College is deeply grateful to both IAFIE as well as the Strategic Intelligence in National Security program leadership for making this significant achievement a reality.
Patrick Henry College, offering one of the nation’s top pre-law and national security programs, is an institution of higher education committed to robust classical liberal arts training as a Christian mission with a biblical worldview.
