Lima, OH, October 24, 2019 --(PR.com)-- On Saturday, October 26 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at TC Crew in Eastgate Plaza, 2100 Harding Hwy., Lima, OH 45804, author Judy Frisby will be signing copies of her book, "The Real Prison Diaries." In 2014, Mackenzie Basham dropped off her little boy at her mother's house on a Friday night and never returned. The following week, her family saw 19-year-old Mackenzie's mug shot on the local evening news and she has not been home since. This is the true story of correspondence between Mackenzie and her mother throughout years of her incarceration.
Frisby is a 28-year veteran of the hairstyling industry who began her writing journey in 2014. The Real Prison Diaries, a true story, began as a coping mechanism between mother and daughter after her beloved child became incarcerated. Judy went from a stranger to the judicial system to being driven by raw grief in a desperate attempt to be a voice for her child. In 2016, Judy founded The Isiah's Hope Project in Allen County, Ohio, a non-profit that provides children with assistance and transportation to regular visitations with their incarcerated mothers.
Copies of "The Real Prison Diaries" will be on sale for $15 at the event. If you have already purchased the book, bring it to be signed, then enjoy some beverages and book-themed desserts. Admission is free. Cash or checks only. For more information, please visit the publisher's website at www.highergroundbooksandmedia.com/product-page/the-real-prison-diaries
