The Ophelia Project President and CEO to Accept Award and Give Keynote Address
Erie, PA, April 09, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The Ophelia Project’s President and CEO, Mary Baird, will present a keynote address and accept an award April 12, 2008 at the American Association of University Women (AAUW) –Pennsylvania Chapter convention in Exton, PA.
Mary will speak during the Outstanding Women Luncheon. She will help attendees understand the language of relational aggression and share strategies that can help to create safer social climates in schools and communities.
Mary will also receive the state Gateway to Equity Award. This award, given in conjunction with International Women’s Day, is presented to an individual, group or organization that through action and philosophy, promotes the AAUW mission of education and equity for women and girls.
The AAUW-PA is a branch of the national AAUW. It is a national organization with thousands of members in the United States that promotes the equality of women and girls through advocacy, education and research.
