A Double Debut: Hegedus‘ First Piano Concert in the New Carnegie Arts Centre

Internationally acclaimed Hungarian pianist Endre Hegedus debuts with a double recital in Carnegie Centre. His concert is also a debut of classical music in the new Arts Centre of Kenmare.

Kenmare, Ireland, April 09, 2008 --(PR.com)-- A double debut will take place on 19 and 20 April, at 8 p.m. in Kenmare: first appearance of Endre Hegedus, internationally acclaimed Hungarian pianist, and debut of classical music in the new Carnegie Arts Centre.

Hegedus has toured throughout Europe, Asia, North America and Australia. This performance will be his second appearance in Ireland. In autumn, last year, he had an unforgettable recital in Muckross House, Killarney. "Changing the piano into an orchestra, Hegedus allowed us hear flutes, clarinets, cellos, and trombones, as well as an heroic baritone and a magnificent timpanist in his playing…. stunning.", reported Dr. Declan Townsend.

The Easter opening of Carnegie Arts Centre solved the old problem of suitable venues for art performances in Kenmare. “Facilities like the Carnegie Arts Centre have an important role to play in the quality of life for people in local communities (…) putting good facilities into centres around the country is one important way of improving access to the arts”, Minister O’Donoghue said.
