FanFood Hires Chicago Tech Veteran, Jeremy Niecikowski, as Chief Technology Officer
Chicago Tech Startup Makes Key Hire to Advance Technical Capabilities to Concessions App.
Chicago, IL, November 01, 2019 --(PR.com)-- FanFood, a concessions management and mobile ordering platform at sports and live entertainment venues, announces the addition of Jeremy Niecikowski to the company as Chief Technology Officer.
Niecikowski is a veteran to the Chicago tech community, having held leadership positions at Grubhub, Uptake and most recently, Peapod. Niecikowski brings nearly 20 years of technical experience at both large companies and startups.
"I was extremely impressed with the leadership team’s vision and passion, and I have strong faith in the product and concept of stadium mobile ordering, which I believe will very soon become mainstream," said Jeremy Niecikowski, FanFood chief technology officer. "I also saw a lot of opportunity to expand on the current technology, building out new platforms to allow better integration with stadiums."
One of the first key initiatives Niecikowski has been leading is updating the FanFood app with refreshed branding and better functionalities. FanFood’s goal is to be able to bring more technology in-house under Niecikowski’s leadership to create a truly unique and seamless game day experience for both fans and concessionaires. The company aims to take venues big and small cashless with a fully integrated concession management system in the future, including POS platforms and mobile transactions.
The updated version of the consumer app launched October 24 with updated design and user interface. It's also incorporated new functionalities such as letting users search for venues, toggle between express pickup and in-seat delivery and track their orders in real-time. The venue dashboard for concessionaires has also been updated with a more seamless user experience and a more secure user management system.
“We’re thrilled to have Jeremy on board,” said Carson Goodale, co-founder and CEO of FanFood. “He brings so much experience and knowledge, and we knew right away he was the right person to help FanFood achieve what we all know is possible.”
