The Elder Care Firm of Christopher J. Berry Assists in Raising $180K for Local Alzheimer's Walk
Brighton, MI, November 05, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Christopher J. Berry, J.D. of The Elder Care Firm, joined over 100 teams at the 2019 Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Brighton on Saturday, October 5th.
Over 1,000 walkers came out to support the cause along the beautiful Grand River. Walkers who donated over $100 received their free official 2019 Brighton Walk to End Alzheimer’s T-shirt. The event coordinators put on a great experience for the whole family by offering a team “Pound” workout, A cappella performances, and a show by the B-Town Booty Shakers. There was also caricatures and face painting for children in a special area called the “Kid Zone.”
The 110 teams raised over $180,000, nearly 90% of the event goal. All of the money raised will go to the Alzheimer’s Association, which has 77% of funds received go to support, research, awareness, and advocacy.
After finding out last Christmas that he had a marker for the Alzheimer's gene from a 23andMe test, Chris and the team at The Elder Care Firm are more passionate than ever at finding a cure for their clients. "It was great to see over 1000+ walkers for the event and for us to again raise more than last year,” says Chris Berry, of The Elder Care Firm. “It was wonderful seeing so many of our client families supporting a great cause."
