GRBJ Names BizStream Co-Owner One of 40 Under 40 Business Leaders
Allendale, MI, November 03, 2019 --(PR.com)-- BizStream co-owner and solution architect, Brian McKeiver, has been selected as one of Grand Rapids Business Journal's 2019 40 Under 40 business leaders. McKeiver joins Mark Schmidt, BizStream owner and web developer, who was recognized as a 40 Under 40 Business Leader in 2014.
Out of hundreds of applicants, the annual awards recognize only 40 individuals who are making a difference in West Michigan. Since 2002 the Grand Rapids Business Journal has identified over 600 dynamic young professionals who have achieved personal success and made significant civic contributions to the great Grand Rapids community.
As a Kentico MVP, McKeiver is seen as an influencer among the global tech community but also finds value in growing the West Michigan tech scene through local, national, and international speaking events. McKeiver is active in the local community and is passionate about using BizStream's success to support local web development boot camps and workshops such as BizStream Academy and BitCampGR. Beyond the tech world, McKeiver encourages BizStream to give back to the community by holding Kids' Food Basket events, electronic recycling drives, and more.
"I'm truly humbled to be selected as one of the Grand Rapids Business Journal's 40 under 40 honorees," says McKeiver. West Michigan has such a wealth of talented business leaders that I have looked up to and respected for many years. It's tough even to place myself in the same category. I'm hoping to continue my and BizStream's contributions to the community and inspire our local youth to look to the Technology sector as a great career option."

This year's 40 Under 40 honorees were recognized at a celebration on October 29 at 20 Monroe Live and was attended by hundreds of corporate, business, community and government leaders each year in a unique and fun celebratory setting.
After attending the event, McKeiver shared, "The event itself was amazing to be a part of. The venue [20 Monroe live] was fantastic, the audience turnout was impressive, and listening to all of the 40-second stories from the honorees was inspiring. Thank you, Grand Rapids Business Journal!"
