Window Shopping on the Tollway

The French Mix (http://www.thefrenchmix.com), has teamed up with Town Crier Trucks (http://www.towncrierads.com) to build a 3D mobile showroom with furniture and drive around parts of North Dallas and Collin County giving shoppers a taste of what is in store for them in Historic Downtown McKinney.

Dallas, TX, April 10, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Recent stories in the media have reported on the street construction underway in downtown McKinney and potential problems shoppers may have getting to the Square. In the wake of that, one local merchant is taking her showroom and her message to the streets to let shoppers know that Historic Downtown McKinney is open for business and is worth any potential parking inconvenience.

Laura Vogel, owner of The French Mix, has teamed up with Town Crier Trucks to build a 3D mobile showroom with furniture from her store and drive around parts of North Dallas and Collin County giving shoppers a taste of what is in store for them in Historic Downtown McKinney. While mobile showrooms are not an entirely new concept, this one is different. The showroom is actually a glass enclosed, 3D display case, complete with a chandelier, furniture and an antique birdcage, which is driven around town, allowing consumers to window shop while stuck in traffic.

Promoters of downtown McKinney are delighted with this innovative campaign as it is a great way to promote the unique shops and merchandise consumers can expect to find there. “We are inspired by the mobile showroom concept. It is drawing a lot of attention wherever it goes encouraging consumers to visit downtown McKinney for its unique charm and second to none establishments. It will be well worth the trip”, said Ty Lake, Program Director for McKinney Main Street.
