Formosa Group Hires 3-Time Emmy-Nominated Sound Expert
Los Angeles, CA, November 12, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Formosa Group, an industry leader and top creative innovator in post-production sound, announced today that Supervising Sound Editor and Sound Designer, Elliott Koretz, is joining their Features division.
Koretz is known for his work on many iconic films including, “Being John Malkovich,” “Miracle,” “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters,” “Ted,” as well as “Collateral,” for which Koretz was BAFTA nominated.
When asked about his thoughts on moving forward with Formosa Group’s Features team, Koretz said, “I’m excited to be surrounded by so much talent and look forward to adding my sensibilities to the mix!”
Born and raised in Boston, his interest in film and television began at a very early age. After attending Boston University, Koretz moved to Los Angeles to begin his career in the entertainment industry, starting with his first job working in the mailroom at Walt Disney Studios. During his early career, Koretz was entrenched in all the various phases of filmmaking, working with entertainment icons, such as Michael Mann, Jim Sheridan and Seth MacFarlane. Having supervised and designed sound for nearly every genre, he defines his role as supporting the emotional content of each scene, either overtly or subconsciously.
