Teach 1 Reach 1 Foundation Celebrates Holiday Season with a “Jingle, Jokes, & Jam Comedy Experience”
Long Beach, CA, November 13, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Teach 1 Reach 1 Foundation announces their inaugural “Jingle, Jokes, & Jam Comedy Experience” to be held on Saturday December 21st and Sunday, December 22nd in Los Angeles, CA. This two-day experience will benefit foster care children in the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services.
The holidays are intensified with the thoughts of toys and presents. It is a joyous time for most, but for some it may be a time of stress and anxiety. Currently there are 30,000 children in the Los Angeles foster care system. 1,400 are awaiting adoptive families. Teach 1 Reach 1 wants each of these children and their families to know, they are not forgotten. We as a community, supports and genuinely cares about them. Teach 1 Reach 1 wants every child to experience the joy and excitement of receiving the gifts of their dreams.
The “Jingle, Jokes, & Jam Comedy Experience” weekend kicks off with D-Up Basketball’s free basketball clinic for foster children (boys and girls) ages 8-14 years. The clinic will be hosted by former professional players and coaches and will be held at Silverado Park in Long Beach, Ca from 11am – 2pm. Following the clinic, the Kickoff Party for all Sponsors and VIP’s will be at The Parlor and will feature specialty cocktails, food, and entertainment.
The fun continues on Sunday, December 22nd with a VIP reception in Hollywood, Ca, at the legendary Laugh Factory, home of some of the most influential comics of our time. Guest will enjoy a hilarious comedy show with comedians, David Arnold, Daphnique, Dannon Green, and Chris Spencer. The show will also include a musical performance as a prelude to the after-party that follows.
All donations will be distributed at the DCFS South County Regional Office and sent to families of need the following day. “We strive on making a positive impact in children lives. We hope we can provide joy to many families this year with the donations we receive,” said James Christian, founder of Teach 1 Reach 1 non-profit foundation.
