CDM President Leads Local Businesswomen CDM President Leads Local Businesswomen on SCANPO Corporate Partnership Panel
Charleston-based fundraising consultant to lead panel with local businesswomen to discuss how corporations and non-profits can work together for mutual benefits.
Charleston, SC, April 11, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Corporate DevelopMint president, June Bradham, will lead a panel discussion on building strong partnerships between corporations and non-profits at this year’s SCANPO conference here in North Charleston.
Rachel Hutchisson (Director, Corporate Relations & Philanthropy at Blackbaud, Inc.) and Anita Zucker (Director of Community Relations at The InterTech Group, Inc.) will join June in examining the symbiotic relationships between these two very different groups. These local businesswomen will offer their insight into why these partnerships are necessary and how non-profits can make their cases—both the business and the social case—to the corporations whose visions align most closely with their own.
As Chair of the SC Association of Nonprofit Organizations (SCANPO), June has exposure to hundreds of non-profits, all of whom could benefit from stronger ties to the business community. “Non-profits truly have everything to gain by partnering with leading businesses in their community,” says June. “Not only do these links provide a potential revenue stream, they also offer expertise and exposure to entirely new audiences.”
Charities of all sizes, but particularly smaller grassroots organizations, may feel intimidated by approaching corporations with proposals. This presentation will not only support the need for such partnerships but give non-profits some real-life tips on crafting proposals that more effectively respond to corporate needs and realities, choosing the right partnerships, and maximizing the positive results they can forge from joining forces with the business world.
This lively and interactive panel presentation will take place at 1:45 p.m. April 17 at the North Charleston Sheraton. Conference registration information is available at www.scanpo.org
