NAFA Presents CAFM Boot Camp
NAFA offers members two chances to pass their CAFM exams during the first-ever CAFM Boot Camp.
Salt Lake City, UT, April 13, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Fleet managers at NAFA’s Institute & Expo at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah will have two chances to pass their CAFM exams this May, receive next day test scores, and even graduate at the Expo thanks to the introduction of the CAFM Boot Camp. Exams will be held on May 2nd and May 7th – before and after the Institute & Expo.
The NAFA Certified Automotive Fleet Manager program is designed to identify and recognize exceptional fleet management professionals. Established more than two decades ago as the Certified Fleet Management program with the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, the program is now administered solely by NAFA. The CAFM program is the most comprehensive fleet certification program available, requiring an ongoing five year recertification cycle and including material for both public service and private fleets.
“The NAFA CAFM program is the only certification program that proves an individual’s expertise in fleet,” said Phillip E. Russo, CAE, NAFA’s Executive Director. “Other certification programs may attest that a person has minimum basic knowledge of fleet, but the NAFA CAFM program proves the person is an expert.”
The CAFM Boot Camp Courses will include Asset Management, Vehicle Fuel Management, Maintenance Management, Fleet Information Management, Professional Development, Business Management, Risk Management, and Financial Management.
Sessions will be offered in each of the eight modules to discuss some of the more challenging concepts, ask questions of CAFM grads, and exchange ideas and study hints. The sessions will be facilitated by the Certification Board members who are currently responsible for the development of each of these modules. In addition, those currently enrolled in the CAFM program can receive next day test scores. Those who have passed all necessary exams will graduate at the Institute & Expo in Salt Lake City; those who have not will be able to take a class in each of the eight disciplines and re-test immediately following the Institute & Expo on Wednesday, May 7.
The CAFM Boot Camp is not meant to be a replacement for personal study or a comprehensive look at the entire Study Guide. To get the maximum benefit from the Boot Camp candidates should complete filling out the answers to all questions in the Study Guide and invest some time in study and review.
NAFA’s CAFM program has reached more than 430 active participants, in addition to the more than 200 active graduates. This program is by far the largest, oldest and most respected fleet management certification program. It is also the most comprehensive, requiring an ongoing five year recertification cycle and including material for both public service and private fleets.
