Nationally Recognized Jewelry Designer Jamie Joseph Trunk Show and Personal Appearance at Persimmon in Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CA, April 16, 2008 --(PR.com)-- persimmon is hosting a trunk show of Seattle based jewelry artisan Jamie Joseph on 16 & May 17, 2008 from noon to 6pm. Jamie Joseph will be making an in-store personal appearance from noon to 4pm on Saturday, May 17th. She is bringing many one-of-a-kind pieces made especially for the event highlighting everything from moonstone to diamonds, alongside her complete collection of handcrafted jewelry that features organic detailing and fine metal work in gold and silver. Jamie’s jewelry is regularly featured in magazines such as Vogue, Elle, InStyle and Lucky; and is a celebrity favorite.

Jamie Joseph began her life long love affair with gemstones as a child collecting pebbles. Today, unable to find predrilled gemstones in the large sizes and shapes that she wants, Jamie sources imperfect rough stones (such as Peruvian Opal, Chalcedony, Mint Quartz and others) and drills her own. She then hand facets them in their natural unpolished state; letting the stones, true and natural state of beauty, be her guiding principal. Her signature “beauty mark” is a drilled diamond randomly placed in the stone itself.

Jamie provides the creative direction and design for the entire line overseeing her small studio of jewelers. Her husband and business partner, Jeremy Joseph is also an integral part of the team. He helps handpick the raw stones as well as personally cuts stones from raw slabs to showcase the stone’s singular color, texture and symmetry using their privately developed and trademarked techniques. Jeremy will also be present for the trunk show on May 17th.
