Sports Analyst Mike Gminski to Speak at the Business Club of the Triangle in April
Former NBA player to speak April 18 at BCA Triangle Breakfast.
Raleigh, NC, April 16, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Mike Gminski, member of the Duke Sports Hall of Fame, former college and professional player and current sports and radio analyst will be the featured speaker at the Business Club of the Triangle’s (BCA Triangle) April breakfast meeting. The breakfast, sponsored by Wyrick Robbins Yates & Ponton LLP, will be held at the Brier Creek Country Club on April 18.
Gminski embodies a motivational approach to speaking and encourages others to reach for their goals in life. Mike Gminski renowned as one of the great college basketball players at Duke University was named the ACC Player of the Year at Duke as a junior in 1978-79. Gminski was the only player in Duke History to be named both ACC Rookie of the Year and ACC Player of the Year over his career. He has already been inducted into the Duke University Sports Hall of Fame and the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame. Gminski continued his basketball career and was the number-seven selection of the 1980 NBA draft by the New Jersey Nets; he was in the first class of NBA "Lottery Picks." He played 14 years in the NBA with New Jersey, Philadelphia, Charlotte and Milwaukee. Currently Gminski is a college basketball analyst for Fox Sports, CBS and Raycom Sports/Lincoln Financial Sports.
