Andeco Films's Producer Uses Taboo Subject to Make Message on Big Screen

African American Filmmaker touches on one of America's most controversial subjects, racism and interracial relationships.

Hollywood, CA, April 16, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Andeco Films's Up and coming Executive Producer/Producer, Anthony D Colby, touches on a traditionally taboo subject to make his point through his latest film to be distributed worldwide later this year. The film "Changing the Odds" takes on one of society's most controversial subjects, racism and interracial relationships. Using the interracial relationship as a vehicle, this film goes deeper and explores racism at its core. The film shows the multiple levels that racism can strike and clearly illustrates that racism is not exclusive to white people. Though some might say interracial relationships are no longer an issue, this film pushes the envelope to prove that even though society has come a long way, there is still a long way to go, especially in the context of an African American male dating a Caucasian female. Politics in America make it clear that race issues are alive and well in this country. This compelling story, told through the new comers to the big screen Anthony D Colby and Allison Lane, make it clear that sometimes love is just the beginning of finding happiness and life can be pretty complicated with race as a factor. Changing the Odds was intentionally produced without name stars attached so the message would not appear overly polished and sanitized. As a result, both the storyline and the message of this film are real and unfiltered. Changing the Odds is a film all America should see.
