Police Respond to Sonitrol Pacific Panic Alert, Arrest Flasher

Police arrested a suspected flasher at a Portland resident when responding to a Sonitrol Pacific panic alert button.

Portland, OR, March 19, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Police arrested a man suspected of flashing employees at a Portland area restaurant March 19.

According to the restaurant’s manager, the man was “gleefully” exposing himself to two female employees and one of the ladies pressed the Sonitrol Pacific remote panic device.

An experienced Sonitrol Pacific operator received the panic signal and immediately dispatched police. The operator listened to real-time audio to ascertain the situation at the restaurant and give police details of the event in progress. She could hear multiple voices, but the words were incomprehensible.

Police arrived immediately on scene and took the man into custody for indecent exposure.

The restaurant employees were not injured, but were very shaken up by the incident.
