The Hines Group Announces Plant Expansion
Owensboro, KY, April 23, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The Hines Group, Inc., parent company of Premium Allied Tool, Inc. and Owensboro Manufacturing, LLC, announced today that it is expanding its plant in Philpot, Kentucky to accommodate growth in its metal stamping and assembly business. The Company will also consolidate operations now at the Mid-America Airpark into its main Owensboro (Philpot) campus. The expansion and integration process is expected to be complete by second quarter 2009.
“This move is made possible by our recent growth in contracts resulting directly from expansion of our national and international sales reach, new levels of cost competitiveness, and the addition of new assembly and fabrication capabilities,” according to Kevin M. Booth, President of The Hines Group. “We intend to combine operations to obtain operating efficiencies necessary to remain globally competitive, and to continue the high level of service our customers have come to expect.”
The 400 acre main manufacturing campus in Philpot will expand its manufacturing plant to accommodate business growth and the production activity now at the Mid-America Airpark facility.
Customers will benefit from a broader range of services resulting from combining the staffs of the two locations. Both companies will continue to provide full levels of production and service throughout the consolidation process. No jobs will be lost as a result of the consolidation.
The 25 acre, 152,000 square foot Mid-America Airpark facility (zoned I-2, heavy industrial) will be sold. The 10 year old building is capable of serving warehousing and light industrial needs.
