Art Institute of California – Orange County Instructor Wins Three Bronze Telly Awards
Annual Telly Awards honor the finest in video and film production.
Santa Ana, CA, April 24, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Rich Jansen, an instructor in the Web Design & Interactive Media program at The Art Institute of California – Orange County, has been awarded three bronze Telly Awards for his work on the AiPro DVD series. For nearly 30 years, the Telly Awards have been honoring the very best local, regional and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions and work created for the Web.
The AiPro American Regional Cuisine - Cajun and Creole Cooking, Part 1 DVD starring Art Institute of California – Orange County instructor Chef Daniel Mattos won in two categories: Educational (for academic use) and Low Budget (under $700 per minute). The AiPro Culinary Basics, Vol. 1 - Knife Skills video, featuring Master Chef Klaus Friedenriech, won in the How-to/Instructional Program category.
“This recognition affirms that our goal of producing high quality instructional materials for culinary education is being met,” said Jansen. “Since these were among the first programs produced, I am convinced that our continuing efforts can only improve on a good thing.”
Each year, nearly 14,000 entries across 200 categories are submitted for review. Judges score entries on a performance scale and winning entries are recognized and awarded as Silver or Bronze Winners based on the combined scoring of the judges who evaluate each entry. The judges consist of a group of highly qualified advertising, production and other creative professionals all of whom are past Telly winners.
Last year’s winners ranged from local agencies and smaller production companies to multinational corporations, and included American Movie Classics, CNN, FX Networks, Comedy Central, Harpo Studios, Nickelodeon, Nike and The History Channel.
