Greg Winkler Coach, Educator and Author of the New Book "The Transformational Coach" Scheduled to Speak at Florida Athletic Coaches Association 2020 Soccer Clinic
Punta Gorda, FL, September 30, 2020 --(PR.com)-- Coach Greg Winkler is scheduled to speak on October 3, 2020 at the Florida Athletic Coaches Association 2020 soccer clinic. Coach Winkler is scheduled for two sessions at the clinic, one field session in the morning from 11 am to 12 pm titled, “Putting Some Fun Into the Training Session” and one classroom session in the afternoon from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm titled “Incorporating Mindfulness Into Your Training Session.”
The Florida Athletic Coaches Association 2020 Soccer Clinic is on October 2 to October 3, 2020 at Advent Health Fieldhouse in Winter Haven, Florida.
Greg Winkler has been a head varsity soccer coach since 1998, 22 years which covers 31 seasons, both boys and girls. Winkler served in athletic administration for 15 years, was a youth soccer club president and director for 20 years. A club with youth participation numbers over 2000. Coach Winkler heads into his 33rd year of teaching and his coaching experience includes: 14 years – freshman football, 15 years – freshman/JV wrestling, 4 years as a varsity head track coach and 9 years at the middles school level.
Coach Winkler speaks nationally on dealing with parents and character-based coaching. Winkler’s first book, "Coaching a Season of Significance," guides a coach through a season. From preseason, parent meeting, to the end of the season banquet, his second book on leadership and coaching The Transformational Coach, Incorporating Mindfulness for Improved Performance.
Winkler was a National Youth Soccer Coach of the Year in 2012. His teams have been recognized 22 times as a National Academic Team recipient.
