Partnerpedia Independent Partnering Community Launches Beta Program - New Partnering Community Designed to Help Technology Vendors Find and Collaborate with One Another
Vancouver, BC, Canada, April 25, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Partnerpedia, the new independent partnering community for the technology industry, today announced the launch of a worldwide Beta Program. The six week program will capture user feedback on the community’s key benefits—finding, recruiting and collaborating with new partners; enabling them with technical, sales and marketing content; and expanding knowledge through shared information. Participant feedback will be used to fine tune the partnering ecosystem prior to its launch this July.
“Partnerpedia was designed to fill the market gap for a dynamic partner enablement platform,” said Jeff Chop, Constructive Media CEO. “The channel—ISVs, Systems Integrators, Distributors, Resellers, OEMs and others, told us what they needed in an ecosystem, and we built it. We will continue to expand Partnerpedia based on what members ask for.”
Beta Program registration has been open for two weeks and over 82% of registrants have signed up to test all three of the major feature sets—the Community, Portals and Whiteboard. Beginning today, Beta Program participants can set up individual and company profiles and begin establishing their partner network within the vibrant partnering community. They will be able find partners that match their needs, and communicate with individual members or an entire partner organization.
Over the following weeks, Beta participants will test private content management portals designed to give their partners the information they need to promote and sell their products. They can also expand their own knowledge via community generated content on topics such as partnering best practices, and post thought leadership articles on their own area of expertise.
Analysts believe that a transition away from traditional hub and spoke partner management is underway, giving rise to a more fluid model of partner self-organization driven by customer needs. They predict that a vendor’s market growth will be significantly impacted by the connectedness of their supporting network, and the diversity and depth of their partnerships.
Membership in the Partnerpedia community is free to all technology vendors interesting in partnering. To join the Beta Program, visit http://www.partnerpedia.com/register.
