London, United Kingdom, April 27, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Separation: A Story of Hope in the Midst of Tragedy, Available at Lulu.com
Separation is a new novel by UK author, Ben Bell, and is available for purchase now through internet self-publishing giant Lulu.com. The author’s own experience of being a student, leaving old surroundings and embarking on new relationships, have all inspired this semi-autobiographical work.
Through the eyes of the narrator, art student Dan Crake, Separation charts a journey from death to new beginnings. Set in Northampton 2004, a typical British town, the student life is rendered with a colourful palette of images and emotions, mixed with thoughts on loss, God, McDonalds and the future.
“I wanted to convey a realistic picture of what it’s like to be a student and an artist,” says the 28 yr old author, who spent 3 years studying and living in Northampton. “The novel’s title is also its big theme, both in relation to the individual in an age of mass-everything, and the struggling relationship between a father and a son.”
The novel (128pages; Lulu.com ID #2202235) has been a work-in-progress since 2003, and is currently available at http://www.lulu.com/content/2202235
